SAFE

S.A.F.E. (Student Aftercare for Enrichment) after-school program was created in 1998 to meet the increasing need for a safe, nurturing program for elementary school children whose parents must work. S.A.F.E. is not just another "latch-key" childcare program. Qualified staff mentor the kids in a setting designed to create a positive learning environment, fostering appropriate social growth and development, self-esteem, creativity and leadership skills.

The program is designed for low-income working parents. Parents contribute a minimal fee while the majority of funding comes from private sources and a grant from the City of West Hollywood.
